SFJAZZ breaks ground on new facility - News

May 6, 2011 SFJAZZ broke out on the ground of the construction of the Centre of SFJazz, a $ 60 million project that will become the new home of San Francisco presenter. The 35,000-square-foot building, designed by local architect Mark Cavagnero, will house a flexible concert with seating room for 350-500 people, a jazz cafe and a House of - the - art of State for the SFJAZZ Collective, a set of jazz All-Star Gamecomposed of some of the best musicians performing today. Vibraphonist Stefon Harris corporate member, trombonist Robin Eubanks, trumpeter Avishai Cohen, bassist Matt Penman and former Artistic Director of SFJAZZ Joshua Redman, attended the event. The SFJAZZ Center is scheduled to open in 2012 in the fall.
